The prompts given to the Gemini AI system and the POE AI system in the course of designing the TS Transport System are described and listed in these pages. The prompts are broken down into groups according to the topic of interest. The order in which the prompts were given to the AI systems is also significant as it helps the AI system build up background knowledge of the system/topic under consideration. The first group of prompts were entered into Gemini during the Spring of 2024. In April, 2024, the next group of prompts were entered.
The next group of prompts concerned spring operation, plates and guiding elements. In April, 2024 as well I proceeded to ask Gemini for help with a mechanical stop for the system. I then asked for information on linear guides, rails and bearings for mounting the rack .
At the beginning of June, 2024, I asked Gemini about clamps for fixing the dish and the compression plate in the transport system and quickly learnt that clamps may not be right for my design. I looked into how I could stop the dish and the plate and hold them in position. Instead of using clamps, as I had originally thought of doing, I inquired about stops, pins, and latches.
In October 2024 I started investigating a means of transferring power gradually from the rack to the pinion to the drive pulley so that the TS system would travel smoothly. I started to ask Gemini and POE about gearing and how power is transmitted in a controlled manner in the movement in watches. I also got good infornmation on continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) and mechanical variators.
