Monkey was also known as Hanuman, the flamboyant son of the wind god.

He was made 'Pi-ma-wên' in the heavenly stables by the Jade Emperor

Hanuman, whose name means "heavy-jawed," is the monkey-hero whose name

and career are inexorably linked to Rama's in India.
