Aritificial Intelligence Review - Part 1

"Autotelic signifies that the motivational driving force ("telos") comes from the individual herself ("auto") instead of from an external source administered by rewards and punishments."

The "bootstrap" problem:

A lot of research is going into the "bootstrapping" of machine intelligence.

Biology has shown that "relatedness" plays a major role in favoring the evolution of cooperation in social insects.

Brains are characterized by limited "bandwidth" and computational resources. At any point in time, we can focus our attention only on a limited set of features or objects.
