Fehlschaltung maloperation, inadvertent wrong operation, (faulty switching, wrong connection)

Fehlschaltung: A maloperation describes the situation when something goes wrong in a systems operation. A signal can be incorrectly switched in an electronics or electrical system. The wrong connection can be made in a telephone exchange.
